After just reading a post over at Rich’s blog I thought it needed to be spread here too
Let me just quote a specific section first.
“Successful entrepreneurs look at practically every moment of every day like a challenge–and they attack it accordingly. This high need for achievement motivates them to turn their ideas into action. ”
Taking Action – The Importance Of Being Urgent
This post and specifically that paragraph (which just personally really resonated with me) really nailed it.
As Rich mentions…
” This ability will supercede intelligence…talent…and even connections in determining how big you want your company to grow and how fast you want
to get there. I’ve seen it happen a thousand times.”
I mean wow…
Are you reading that?
We call it the “fly-wheel of action” simply because you will notice if you just keep providing continual consistent action into your business over time the “fly-wheel” picks up speed and stopping it becomes much harder.
All of the action you have done adds a tiny bit of speed to this wheel until eventually it is moving so fast you couldn’t stop it if you tried.
If you take action at the pace of “urgency” you can really take your business to a completely new level that you have never seen before. This is absolutely true and you know when you are taking action and when you are not.
Unfortunately its easier said then done. As an entrepreneur too many times I have caught myself in a state of stagnation rather then moving forward with our ideas & goals to just make them happen.
Right now we are sitting on one idea that is a multi-million dollar business here in Australia.
In-fact I have been sitting on it for about 4 to 6 months now and done nothing with it.
Do you know what it required me to do personally?
- Contact my design team to organise the design
- Contact the web team to put it into practice (set the site up)
- Contact our data-entry team to enter the information
- Oranise with our SEO team to do the SEO
- Be willing to spend a few thousand dollars
Thats It.
It took me 6 months to do that…
Do you know how long this realistically took me to organise?
Less then 30 minutes including researching site designs I liked for our designer.
Instead if I had have just taken action on it 6 months ago we would already have first page rankings for our determined industry and have a wildly profitable non-IM business setup.
So Rich… Thanks for helping me realize that no matter what you are doing in life, try not to get so involved in the day to day running of business and be ready & willing to take action NOW not tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.
Please read Rich’s post and then following his exercise post your first two items you are going to take urgent action on TODAY.
Cheers

Certainly a post of huge truth, significance, and meaning for me. I can really relate to the details of not consistently moving forward with my online marketing dreams and aspirations.
I was doing really well at getting my very first site… Bad Breath site just the way I wanted it to be. The last few weeks… I’ve fallen off the online marketing wagon.
I gotta get back on the wagon. One thing that has really used up my time is receiving and browsing through all the online marketing emails I’ve received. I’ve subscribed to so many marketing training types of emails… I’ve spent far too much time with checking out those emails.
I feel the need to say I look with great anticipation, excitement, and hope that the new PLRPro system coming into being sometimes towards fall… will provide me with the tools to earn some significant income in marketing online.
Tonight… something I’ve wanted for quite some time… Mainly because of Golfers57 posts… I’m getting UAW.

Marc, you and the rest of your team have been a true inspiration particularly with posts like this!
I always think of you on my “mental board of directors” and to see you take yourself off of that pedestal and speak about the frustrations and hesitancies that confound us all makes following in your foot steps that much easier.
Thanks and best wishes with the “new” idea. I’m sure that we’ll all be watching and waiting.
Kevin
Thanks Kevin,
Its very easy to become distracted in things that do not matter or to get too comfortable so that you stop growing & stop moving forward.
This is something I personally have to keep tabs on so that we can keep moving forward also.
We will be sure to keep you all updated. At this stage it looks like its about 2 weeks away from completion & launch.
Then I can show some results of how it performs.
Marc
Hi Marc,
I have always been impressed with the work you guys have done (and I still am). However it is great to hear that I’m not the only one that knows what to do but still (for whatever reason) doesn’t do it every time.
Good luck with the new business launch!
Mikael
[...] should make a post to further talk about this fly wheel of action we mentioned in our previous post Take Massive Action which also actually also has to do with the latest post about Writing Dynamic Sales Copy With [...]
