Okay so this christmas was one of the most exciting times of my life, seriously I felt like a little kid again, actually I was even more excited this year then I was as a kid.
Why?
Because even though my fiance knows nothing about Internet Marketing she is one of the best pre-launch hypers I have ever known.
She got me so suckered in and so excited about the whole thing. And I still had no idea right up until I opened my present as to what it was.
So when I opened my present and saw Microsoft I was like what the heck is this, yep I didnt even know what a Zune was then.
After doing a quick online search and getting right into it. It is 30gb of video/song/storage goodness wrapped in a smooth looking case.
Jen my fiance bought it for me mainly because I was complaining about having nothing to use on the move to continue my online studies (seminar videos etc etc).
The install took quite a while to do, but that all depends on your internet connection.
Next step - Test this baby out.
So I converted one of my 700mb seminar video’s into Zune format and uploaded it.
Well what can I say, its AWESOME. The video is smooth (as long as you convert it into the proper size for the Zune 324 x 428 or something like that and at 30fps) I made the mistake of converting it into 640 x 480 size first and it jagged a bit. But after the size re-adjustment it was sweet.
The quality for its size is very wicked, there is a little image quality loss which is to be expected considering it turned the 700mb video into 500mb, but it was nothing worth worrying about.
So the video is about 2 hours long, I could fit roughly 54 hours of seminar goodness into this baby.
This is not even taking into account that it can tune into most local radio stations, and can also do audio, as well as doubling as a storage device if you want.
Still learning everything about it, but its the coolest Christmas Present I have ever had.
If you are thinking about an Ipod, take another think and checkout the Zune, you might just like it more.
Regards
Marc
