Or should I say, the gagging reflex of having it shoved down my throat
I learned a good lesson today, or I should say, relearned a good lesson…
Never rest on your laurels.
We had gotten behind with the delivery of our content because of Christmas, but all Christmas was, was an excuse, had we been more prepared, delivery wouldn’t have been an issue, and I put myself into the mindset of believing it was ok to be behind at Christmas… WRONG!
I’m going to quote someone from our members only forum and I hope they don’t mind:
“And when there’s a holiday involved, use that as an excuse for early package release rather than late. ”
That’s good business sense right there.
The lesson here for everyone else, is that when things are going fantastic, don’t sit back and let things coast, coasting is the beginning of the end, and the momentum that you have built is far more difficult to get going again.
Just a short one for today, but very profound

It’s ironic that whilst complacency may get us killed in business, it’s the prospect of complacent comfort at the end of the day that we mainly strive for.
Re your Christmas sloth - what’s the point of profit without time for a party with friends and loved ones?
And I’m doubly happy for you that the consequence of your sloth was not death. Because for most life on earth (including 90%+ of homo sapiens), taking your eye off the ball IS punishable by death, by starvation or worse. Ask any fish - they queue up to eat each other!
Your admission is admirable Daniel. It is refreshing to recieve feedback from a businessman which is self anylitical and corrective in nature. I also learnt something from your observation. Thankyou for your honesty, regards Graham.
