But was he always this good? Fortunately for us, so we can feel better for ourselves, the answer is a resounding no.

According to Jeremy, he grew up in Moline, Illinois with his teacher-mother and businessman-father. Though he mainly lead a normal life, he was a self-professed fat kid. When he was merely 14 years old, his weight had ballooned to 300 pounds. He was therefore used to being picked last for high school teams and had girls around him who preferred to be merely friends with him.

Things changed a bit in 1997 when his mother bought him an Apple computer. Suddenly, he found a way to escape the difficulties of teen-life.

Jeremy immersed himself in video games, wrote some programs and eventually learned a lot about computers.

While working at Sears in 1995, a woman approached and offered him a job at her Internet Service Provider company. Jeremy agreed and learned to manage servers, write websites and develop security systems in his new job. He returned to school later on and founded his first business creating Macintosh gaming sites. It was at this time when he received calls from various companies asking to advertise on his sites.

Unfortunately, the dot-com crash came and his business went along with it. At 28 years old, he was 420 pounds, $50,000 in debt, crashing on his friend’s house and was smoking two cigarette packs a day.

Things changed when he met his would-be wife J who back then was working to be an anesthesiologist. It was her who Jeremy acknowledges as the one who showed him the light and made him realize that you could be whatever you want to be as long as you are more than willing to work for it.

Things looked up for Jeremy in 2003. He began his own business and started writing his very own ShoeMoney.com blog. He also took Next Pimp (his ringtone community company) to the next level. He also lost 200 pounds via surgery and made lots of money online more than he earned working for ten years.

2007 was the year he launched, along with his business partner David Dellanave, AuctionAds – an eBay affiliate marketing service which provides eBay auction ads on relevant contextual sites. The service also won numerous awards in mere months. Majority of the company was later purchased by Media Whiz, a marketing company.

Currently, his ShoeMoney.com has a loyal readership of 30,000 people daily. It has also been cited as the Best Affiliate Marketing Blog. Technorati ranks it as among the top 50 blogs in the past 3 years.

Overall, besides being a world-respected internet marketer, Jeremy Schoemaker is also a husband, father of two kids and a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.
