What isn’t a joke is that he goes by the nickname “Moto” - derived from the old Moto Racer video game. Also, he is famously known for his usual quotes which are: “Oh well,” and “My World! My Rules!”

Seriously though, he has become so popular that his blogs have been copied. Believe it or not, there is a site called JohnCow.com and NotJohnChow.com.

John’s online life began ten years ago. He started as a partner in a Richmond printing company in Canada and worked there for more than a decade.

It was on April 1999 when he decided that a change was needed and it was on the internet where he saw himself staking a claim via the technology site The TechZone. Now, the site is hailed as one of the largest hardware tech sites online and has more than 10,000 pages and 200,000 page views to prove it.

Currently, John Chow is a popular online writer who primarily blogs about Internet Marketing.

His site JohnChow.com - which he started in 2005 – is mostly about food, cars, how to make money online and, of course, John. The Tech Zone is still a technology site since it was created back in 1999.

Meanwhile, John’s TTZ Media site is a private shopping network which aims to connect retailers and customers.

TTZ Media is currently his main income source. It has become John’s own shopping network as it serves ads on sites which are tech-related. It aids webmasters to monetize their sites by including a code which will display numerous products. The code then taps into a large database which compares prices in various stores. For instance, when a Canon digital camera is shown, along with it are displays of merchants which sell a similar product as well as a comparison of the item’s costs.

Basically, John Chow specializes in search engine optimization, site monetization and producing an income thru blogs. One of John’s significant feats in the internet marketing industry was ranking the top spot for the “make money online” keyword which was made possible via the use of text links and reciprocal linking (he was later penalized and delisted by Google though).

His JohnChow.com offers new and expert marketers with insightful posts about business models created on the wiki platform, pay per digg and Wordpress plugins. It also provides the most recent updates about web 2.0, blogging and CPA marketing.

John’s blog is primarily monetized by numerous sponsors, banners, contextual ads and affiliate promotions. He also offers a free ebook which describes how he went from zero yet gained $40,000 every month by merely blogging.

His ebook helps you find ways to acquire subscribers, monetize and build links for SEO.

All in all, John Chow’s blog is a tremendous source of information. He explains the aspects of Internet business as well as affiliate marketing in ways which other industry writers don’t.

When not working online, John bikes around Vancouver, works out at Fitness World and could be seen climbing Canada’s Grouse Mountain.
