Lisa is the founder of the website WhatDoISell.  She has also been helping numerous entrepreneurs begin, run and expand their retail business online for the past 7 years.

It was in 2002 when Lisa decided to make the transition from offline to online – just when her youngest daughter was a baby.

At this time, she realized that she did not want to go to work each day and leave her kids with the sitter.  She also discovered that going home after a full day at work, she no longer has the energy to enjoy the company of her kids.

With a retail merchandising degree under her belt as well as 8 years of experience as a buyer for a big department store and two boutiques (she also worked in the high tech industry), she finally left America’s corporate field to apply her unique skills on the internet.

Thanks to her extensive offline retail experience, she knew best how products could be sourced, how to work with wholesale suppliers and how such products could be marketed that in as short as 4 months Lisa Suttora became a PowerSeller on eBay.  After a year, her online income was more than sufficient to replace the income she acquired working in the corporate field.

Lisa has the mindset wherein she thought that doing retail on the internet is not that different offline.  Since she was knowledgeable about kids clothing and kid products, this is what she sold.

Her instinct was right all along since she was able to build a highly successful ecommerce business, setup a worldwide information marketing company, co-author a book on what items to sell online (it became a best-seller) and she spoke on events such as eBay Live!  as well as in Armand Morin’s AM 2.0 event.

Word about her successful online pursuits spread that she later was inundated with questions from various parents in her son’s pre-school all wanting to know how they could achieve the same success.
It was at this moment when she realized her passion: helping fellow entrepreneurs create their very own independent income via selling online.

2004 was the year the site WhatDoISell was created thanks to a long list of coaching clients all asking for Lisa to start an education center online.

Since then, her WhatDoIsell.com site has been transferred to LisaSuttora.com.  A sign, Lisa says, that her business growing and continually expanding.

Lisa emphasizes that she did not get to be where she is now without tons of work.  She also highlights the fact that her journey was not overnight.

She also wants to debunk the myth that online success is a linear process.  She explains that the journey is actually filled with hills and valleys, freeways, twists and turns, speed bumps, scenic drives and even potholes.
However, if you just keep on driving, you will definitely reach destination SUCCESS.

She also clarifies that she did not quit her job one day and knew what she wanted to do online the next.  During the first year, Lisa remembers that she stayed up late every night to read on anything and everything about internet marketing.
A few of those she considers as her biggest influence include Marlon Sanders, Jeanette Cates and Rick Burns.

However, it is Rick Burns whom Lisa considers as the one who helped her gain transformational experience.  She cites that he was responsible for taking her out-of-the-box.  He also laid out paths which allowed her to take relevant steps which are appropriate for her unique vision, mission and goals in life.

Lisa is adamant that no one should go through the online journey alone.  She explains that it is impossible to create a profitable business on the internet if you are going at it alone in front of your computer.

Thus, her WhatDoISell.com site serves the purpose of being a place for anyone to reach out for help.

Her LisaSuttora.com blog is also a place where she inspires, motivates, teaches and provides tools, strategies and tips to newbies who want to build an online business.
