Andrew Lock is an online marketer who runs his own site called andrewlock.com. 

His current focus is on the eBay auction site wherein he puts a unique twist on the idea of selling on eBay.  Basically - though he has sold numerous products on the online auction site -  he mainly utilizes eBay as a marketing channel than an internet garage sale.

Andrew Lock has also been featured in the Underground Marketing Seminar organized by fellow internet marketer Yanik Silver.   In the seminar, he talks about using eBay to the hilt in order to acquire business leads.

While others merely use eBay as a means to which they could sell their products, Andrew wants to emphasize the fact that it is possible to also use eBay as a way to acquire a long-term and active relationship with customers.

How did Andrew get started on eBay?

When Andrew began selling on eBay, he made a decision to read any and all books on eBay he could lay his hands on. 

Eventually, he later on discovered that such a process was a waste of time as all the books he read merely taught the conventional way of selling on eBay.  Though such a method is okay for those who are still beginning to learn the online marketing ropes.  He discovered that such a method is not sustainable in the long run.


Andrew explains that his analytical nature eventually lead him to study all he could about how eBay works thanks to endless months of comprehensive research. 
Ultimately, he claims that he was able to crack the eBay code.  Simply put, Andrew was able to create a systemized approach in fully exploiting non-traditional techniques on eBay which less than 1% of eBay sellers actually know or use.

Do note that Andrew is a few of the handful of eBay-trained education specialists.  He claims that he does not agree with most of what eBay teaches.  However, being certified allows him to be the perfect person to inform his students of eBay’s latest developments and features months before it turns mainstream.

For the past ten years, eBay has been the premier site for online auctions as it invites people from any place in the world to sell anything and everything.  It is also a perfect place for those looking for items to buy such as clothing, electronics, jewelry or even the most obscure products.

Due to eBay’s popularity, numerous instant eBay businesses have appeared as more and more people discover that the large traffic going towards the site allowed them to produce a steady stream of income. 

As  the money-making potential of eBay became more popular, lots of info similarly popped up all of which detail the ways of using eBay as a venue to sell products, build good listings, optimize lists, setting up shop and even delivering products to customers.

However, Andrew made sure his entire teaching methodology is different as it discusses how eBay could be used as a lead generation tool.

Andrew claims that instead of producing profit from eBay directly, a larger profit could be seen when a prospect is placed within your marketing funnel and when such a prospect is converted to a customer.

Andrew professes that such a method actually has a tendency to make one lose a few money as this is necessary at the start in generating leads which turn out to be profitable.

However, Andrew adds that since eBay has more than 60 million unique visitors per month, it would be crazy not to tap in such a huge traffic.

Andrew’s popular H3 training is able to acquire leads and eventually build them into a relationship enough to convert them to long term customers.  A far cry from the method of most sellers who deal with the customer only once, deliver the product and never hear from the customer again.

Overall, Andrew’s novel way of using eBay is a positive change from the countless online eBay guides which are proliferating the market.  Essentially, it is indeed more practical and more critical to build a customer relationship rather than going for a quick sale.

Also, his strategies are a welcome alternative to acquire leads aside from using Yahoo, Google and MSN.  The best thing about Andrew’s technique is that it could be applied for other industries such as health & fitness, real estate and electronics, to name a few.

He has also received amazing feedback from customers.

Andrew reveals that he was born and raised in the South of England, got married to his lovely wife Luci in 2000 and moved in another part of the world in 2003, specifically in California.  Later in 2006, they then moved to Salt lake City where they currently live overlooking the beautiful mountains in Park City.

He also professes that his success would not be possible without the help of his numerous marketing friends such as Dan Kennedy, Yanik Silver, Zig Ziglar and Bill Glazer.

He explains that all the lessons and insights he learned from such experts were truly invaluable that he considers all of it as having a major influence on his eBay system.  He also claims that the conventional way of doing marketing is dead.
