TwittAd is an online advertising program for twitter users and advertisers looking to market their products, website, or brand in Twitter. TwittAd serves as a marketplace for Twitter "publishers" and advertisers in which users can sell their accounts for promotion.

How TwittAd Works

With all the talk of how Twitter ownership is slow to effectively monetize their pages, TwittAd was able to develop a program that takes advantage of Twitter accounts in a way that does not result to Twitter spam. TwittAd works by inviting users to post their account for advertisers to view and purchase. You can set your price and the length of time that the advertiser can place ads on your account. The advertiser then looks at the outstanding accounts and if he finds that your account is suitable for his product, he purchases your account at your given price and time period. Then, you can accept or deny the advertiser's proposal within 48 hours of purchase. Once you accept the ad, TwittAd will upload a background with the advertiser's message to your profile using the Twitter API.

TwittAd works well for users since they can set their own price. Users can also choose to "rent out" their space for durations of 7 days, 15 days, one month, and three months. The minimum payout for users to claim their TwittAd earning is $30. Affiliates can also earn 25% of all referred transactions. This is definitely a great way to make money if you lounge on Twitter 24/7.

Earning Money With TwittAd

TwittAd has the fundamentals of a worthy marketplace for Twitter users and advertisers. With the advertisements placed in the background, the program avoids becoming labeled Twitter spam.

TwittAd is great for users who have already established sufficient following. The personal nature of Twitter means that followers visit your profile because they like you or they are interested in what you have to say. Thus, you can demand higher ad rates if you can sell yourself and get Twitter followers rather than have post links that can qualify as spam in Twitter.

TwittAd has some quirks that may put off some advertisers. While Twitter is an untapped marketplace to place ads, it is hard for advertisers to figure out how much they have to commit to TwittAd to get results. But eventually, those drawbacks will play out as internet marketers and advertisers find ways to optimize their ad placements. Perhaps TwittAd can be more valuable if they have tracking tools to guide advertisers.

Making money with TwittAd is easy provided that you have followers. The more followers you have, the higher the price you can demand. With TwittAd, you do not have to make a website or a blog to make money. All you need is a Twitter account and a good idea to get more followers.  Once you establish your following, you can tweet your way to the bank.
