So since I left the defence force the old PT routine is out the door and I did not make time to get to the gym as often as I should have, and used work as an excuse not to do so.
So of course after gaining a good 11kg I decided it was time to do something about it again.
I made a pledge to myself, not for any stupid weight loss goals or muscle building goals but to be as great as I possibly can be in as many area’s of my life as I can.
Be Great At Loving My Wife
Be Great At Being A Friend
Be Great At Helping People
Be Great At Improving Myself
So slowly I am developing a habbit, when I procrastinate or when I find myself wandering from what I am truely trying to achieve, I ask myself, am i being as great as I possibly could be at this action, and if not then why not.
It really is a simple question to ask, but a difficult one to make a habbit.
I can say that it is having a positive effect on my outlook on life in general through not just business, but also relationship and all other area’s of my life.
So what do you have today that you can make a pledge to being as great as you can be at?
Try it for a bit next time you encounter a problem or a decision to make, ask yourself am I being as great as I can be in making this decision.
Basically by asking yourself this question, you are subconsciously applying all of your moral and ethical personality traits to the question at hand. You may be able to kid yourself that eating that chocolate, or egging on your partner in an argument, or that posting in a forum is helping you move forward.
But I guarantee that you cannot kid your subconscious, it will return the correct answer for you based on your belief system, you may not like the answer, but thats all part of the fun.
Follow this for a while and you will become much better at living true to who you really are.
